DESCRIPTION:We are excited to be bringing our network another exceptional opportunity to kickstart your career with the 6-Week Introduction to Millwrighting Program that is presented in partnership with the Millwright Regional Council\, Local 1244\, Local 1007. Running from October 7 to November 15\, 2024\, this fully-funded immersive program is open to women and women-identifying applicants residing in the Windsor or St. Catharines regions and is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in a Millwright Apprenticeship. \n \nOur in-class sessions\, held at Local 1244 in Windsor will run Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM\, provide a comprehensive learning experience. Successful candidates will have access to professional instruction and hands-on training\, ensuring they gain valuable insights and practical skills. As part of the program\, candidates will also benefit from Build a Dream’s extensive support services to help them navigate any challenges that may arise. \nPlease note\, a driver’s license and access to a vehicle are highly recommended. Additionally\, successful candidates will be required to apply for and pass a background check for security purposes. \nWe are looking for committed and dedicated applicants who are ready to take this exciting step toward a rewarding career in Millwrighting.
